Who we are:

The Valgrande Choir was founded in Cambiasca, (Verbania) on 26/04/1996 thanks to a group of
friends  which werevery fond of
mountain songs.
Their initial repertoire included songs
of the most famous national groups
(Sat, Crodaioli Monte Cauriol etc). Songs which were inspired from life
and feelings of mountain people.

In 1998 the choir add to it's repertoire some
songs taken from the tradition of Verbano

written by
Luigi Fioretta, famous comedy-writer
from Intra,
and set tomusic by Giuliano Bellorini
and Lorenzo Erra.

These songs which are specific
and unique for the Valgrande choir are:
La Leggenda del PianCavallone,
Valgrande,
il Ponte del diavolo,
the last, written and sung in typical dialect from Intra.

The Valgrande Choir performs actively in our
local community . In the last four years the choir
has been singing in several happenings in the county
and in Switzerland.
The conductor of the Valgrande Choir is
Maestro Tiziano Sarasini, and the singers are 28..
